Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh united for Simmba, the very first time in 2018. Ranveer was seen playing the role of a cop and no other actor would have aced the role as he did.
Now, reports suggest that Shetty and Singh are all set to reunite for their next film based on the comedy genre.
A source revealed “Rohit has been looking to step outside the Golmaal franchise and his cop universe, and the lockdown gave him the time to work on an out and out comic script. When he narrated the basic idea to Ranveer, the actor was equally excited as he hasn’t done a comedy film Rohit Shetty e-style before and agreed to come on board.“
“But Ajay Devgn’s dates are full for the next year owing to the six-month closure, which has pushed Golmaal 5 also by a year. He was supposed to start Golmaal 5 around October this year for a Diwali 2021 release, but the film will now start only in the last quarter of 2021.” the source said while talking about Golmaal franchise.
Ranveer Singh will also be seen playing a cameo in Rohit Shetty‘s Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan. The release of Sooryavanshi has been delayed due to the lockdown and on the other hand, Ranveer is working on 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Takht.
