Actress Payal Ghosh had levelled #MeToo allegations of sexual misconduct at filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who dismissed them as ‘baseless’.
Later, she also filed an FIR against him at Versova Police Station, alleging rape, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of a woman.
Today, Ghosh also met with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, to appeal for Y Plus Security, claiming that her life was in threat. Recently, Kangana Ranaut had been granted Y Plus Security.
Payal submitted a written letter for the same.
Payal Ghosh is being supported by Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale.
Athawale has given Mumbai Police a 7-day ultimatum to arrest Kashyap or else the Republic Party of India will protest across Mumbai.
