Rhea Chakraborty and Showik’s bail pleas were heard by the Bombay High Court today.
Here are the updates in the arguments by both NCB and Chakraborty’s counsel, Satish Maneshinde.
As per TOI, NCB said that Rhea, despite knowing that Sushant consumed drugs, had ‘harboured and concealed’ it. Reacting to that Maneshinde said “How does Rhea ‘harbour’ Sushant when he is in his own house?”
Rhea’s lawyer also alleged that had NCB had “nothing on record” to show that they were collecting material from Sushant’s phone or looking into his transactions in the ongoing drugs case.
Satish Maneshinde stated that Sushant was consuming drugs even before Rhea came into his life.
“Had Sushant Singh Rajput been alive today, he would have been punished under Section 20.”
Meanwhile, ASG Anil Singh appearing for NCB, that the case is not related to Sushant Singh Rajput!
Opposing the bail pleas, he stated –“I want to point out that this a drug syndicate and that they are all interlinked. All persons arrested till now, are connected with each other and it is a syndicate. There were regular links & purchasing,”
“This is not a case related to #SushantSinghRajput, he may have been one of the consumers but the entire transaction and deal is not restricted to him,”
As per Midday, Bombay High Court has reserved its order on the bail applications!
