Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan, whom he shares with his first wife Reena Dutta, revealed on World Mental Health Day that she has been clinically depressed for the past four years.
Ira, however, is fearless as she lashes out on the trolls who tried getting to her via social media.
Taking to Instagram, she posted a story saying, “For my posts on mental health: If you’re hateful or irrelevant once, I will delete your comment. If you do it again, I will restrict your access to my posts.“
After that, she put up a poll where she questioned her followers whether or not she should delete hate and irrelevant comments that her posts on mental health receive.
Ira had opened up on her mental health recently in an Instagram video where she said, “Hi, I’m depressed. I have been for more than four years now. I’ve been to a doctor and I’m clinically depressed. I’m doing much better now. For over a year now, I wanted to do something for mental health, but I wasn’t sure what to do.“
“I have decided to take you on a journey – my journey – and see what happens. Hopefully, we’ll get to know ourselves and understand mental illness slightly better,” she had stated.
