Recently, singer, Indian Idol host and actor Aditya Narayan had hit the headlines as rumours regarding his bankruptcy went viral.
However, Aditya has dismissed these reports and is busy as ever with wedding preparations, with long-time girlfriend Shweta Agarwal.
Aditya and Shweta met on the sets of his debut film, Shaapit, and hit it off immediately. They’ve been in a steady relationship for the last 10 years.
The lovebirds will be tying the knot on December 1 in Mumbai, but they have decided to keep it a low-key temple wedding, with only close friends and family members.
Aditya told Spotboye – “We’re getting married on December 1. Because of Covid-19, we can invite only close family and friends, since Maharashtra does not allow more than 50 guests to gather at a wedding.”
They might indulge in a lavish reception later when things turn to normal.
“But for now, it’s going to be a wedding in a temple with just the immediate family present.”
Aditya fondly talked about Shweta’s calming effect on him. “She is a zen monk, unfazed and unaffected by problems. I admire that quality in her. I don’t have her equanimity.”
Quashing the bankruptcy rumours, Aditya quipped – “I am sending you my bank details. A little help will go a long way. But seriously, I was just trying to explain to the journalist that Covid has been difficult for everyone.”
Aditya had also revealed that his wedding rumours with Neha Kakkar were just a joke and were a publicity stunt to boost Indian Idol’s ratings. He is happy that Neha and Rohanpreet are getting hitched, however he will not be attending their wedding.
“I would have loved to attend it, but the wedding is happening in Delhi. I have a bad shoulder injury, and I am not sure if I can make it. But almost everyone from the music reality show, including Vishal sir (Dadlani) and Himesh Reshammiya, are going to attend the wedding.”
“I have known Rohan since he was the second runner-up of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil’ Champs way back in 2008 that I hosted. I am thrilled that two of my good friends are getting married.”
