Om Raut’s pan-India film Adipurush sees south actor Prabhas as the lead role but there were headlines going around for as to who would play Sita.
Saif Ali Khan will play the role of Lankesh in the film and as per a KoiMoi report, initially, Anushka Sharma was roped in for the role of ‘Sita’.
However now word has it that Kriti Sanon is the new replacement for the role.
“After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, they decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity,” says a source.
The film will go on the floors in January next year with a start-to-finish schedule. “It will mostly be shot in the studio against a chroma screen. Om and Bhushan have been talking to VFX technicians of international repute, who have worked on films like Avatar and Star Wars, to make the shooting process smooth and mount the film on a certain scale.”
