Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the entertainment industry slowly is getting back on track.
Anand L Rai’s ‘Atrangi Re’ movie shoot kickstarted in March in Varanasi but soon was halted due to the pandemic.
Yesterday, we saw a picture of Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar from the shooting location as the two kickstarted shooting for the last schedule of their upcoming romantic drama ‘Atrangi Re’. While Dhanush resumed his portions in September, Akshay has joined the team yesterday.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the team will be shooting for ‘Atrangi Re’ till 29th December. Akshay, Sara, Dhanush, and Nimrat will be shooting together for the last schedule of 25 days. This will be shot at real locations of Noida and Agra, including some places in Old Delhi.
While Sara and Akshay shot at a University campus yesterday, a source revealed, “They will be shooting in real locations in and around Delhi, including Old Delhi, and a university campus in Noida, where they are currently placed, and in Agra as well. The film will wrap up with this final schedule, the last day being December 29.”
The source further revealed that Sara and Dhanush have few scenes together left and after that Dhanush will stay back at the capital for his upcoming South-Indian project.
As Akshay joined the team yesterday, Sara took to Instagram to share her excitement. She wrote, “Atrangi Re becomes more Rangeen! Akshay Kumar, so privileged, excited, and thankful to be working with you!”
This Anand L. Rai directorial is a ‘cross-cultural love story’ set in Madurai and Bihar. While details of Akshay’s character are kept under wraps, Sara will be seen essaying double roles for the first time.
Earlier, this movie was scheduled for a theatrical release on 14th February 2021.
