Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey Shoot In Chandigarh Deferred Due To Farmers’ Protest

Shahid Kapoor and the makers of Jersey had designed a thorough final plan for the shoot before they headed to Chandigarh on November 20.

Major portion of the sports drama was to be shot in North India before moving to Kasauli and Dehradun but the schedule has deferred due to the farmer protests.

The farmer’s protest is at its peak in Punjab and Haryana, and director Gowtam Tinnanuri along with the makers have decided to put off the shooting for a bit.

A source revealed to MiddayDays into the shoot in Chandigarh, the makers felt it would be difficult to pull off the remaining shoot amid the current scenario. So, the team quickly changed their plan and headed to Dehradun last week. Shahid, Mrunal Thakur, and the cast will film certain portions in the Uttarakhand capital over the next few days and will return to Chandigarh in the last leg of the schedule. They have about three days’ work left in the city.”

Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing a retired cricketer who strives to make a comeback in this official adaptation of the 2019 Telugu hit.

The Chandigarh schedule is likely to kick off later in this week.
