On Wednesday, Google India released its list of most searched personalities of 2020.
Guess what? In the top 10 list, five spots have been taken in by Bollywood celebrities.
As per Bollywood Hungama, the list includes singer Kanika Kapoor and actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rhea Chakraborty, Ankita Lokhande, and Kangana Ranaut.
The search engine revealed that Kanika bagged the third spot, Big B is on fifth, and Rhea on the seventh. ‘Manikarnika’ co-stars Ankita and Kangana are at the ninth and tenth spots respectively.
As per the list, The ‘Baby Doll’ singer was the most searched personality after US President-elect Joe Biden and journalist Arnab Goswami. She made headlines as she was the first Indian celebrity to contract coronavirus in March.
The singer was slammed for attending several parties without quarantining herself after coming back from a foreign trip and hiding travel history. An FIR was also registered against Kanika for negligence and committing acts likely to spread the fatal disease.
Big B stands at the fifth position in the list of most searched personalities in India. The Shahenshah of Bollywood was also tested covid-19 positive along with his family members Abhishek, Aishwarya, and Aaradhya. Almost every news channels and websites covered this news extensively. His fans also searched for his health update.
After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput on 14th June, suddenly, Rhea became the talk-of-the-town. The actress, the late actor’s girlfriend, was accused of abetment to suicide by the late actor’s family. Rhea also got involved in the drug controversy as she allegedly supplied marijuana to Sushant.
