While the much-awaited sequel ‘Mirzapur 2’ got mixed reviews, fans welcomed Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiyya and Ali Fazal as Guddu with open arms. Soon after its release, dialogues and memes of this action crime thriller got viral on Twitter.

As Ali Fazal supported the nation-wide protests against CAA and NRC, the sequel of the Amazon Prime Original series found itself in a controversy where a section of people on Twitter started calling for its boycott.

The plot revolves around drugs, guns, murders, and lawlessness. It depicts the putrescence, governance, and rule of mafia dons and the rivalry and crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh.

The fourth season of the Netflix series ‘Money Heist’ (Spanish ‘La casa de Papel’) dropped earlier this year and went on to become a huge hit all over the world. Enjoying a massive fan following among Indian viewers, the show grabbed the second spot on the list. The popular Spanish series is renewed for a fifth and final season of the heist crime drama.

Set in Madrid, a mysterious man known as the Professor recruits a group of eight people, who choose cities for code-names. The series traces two long-prepared heists led by the Professor (Álvaro Morte), one on the Royal Mint of Spain, and one on the Bank of Spain.

While the series was initially intended as a limited series to be told in two parts. Netflix acquired the global streaming rights in late 2017. The Italian anti-fascist song “Bella ciao,” which plays multiple times throughout the series, became popular all across the globe.

3. Aarya

‘Aarya’ marked the debut of Sushmita Sen on the digital space. The series where Sushmita Sen played the titular role of Aarya is her return to acting after a gap of five years. After receiving a phenomenal response from the audience and critics, the makers had announced in July that the series will be coming back for a second season.

This Hotstar Specials series is based on a Dutch drama series, titled ‘Penoza’ by Pieter Bart Korthuis, which unfolds the story of a wife and mother, who takes charge of her husband’s business to tie the loose ends of his drug cartel after he’s murdered.

The plot gets insanely twisted when she realizes that her husband was a good guy, all along, and her own father and brother are the reason behind more than half of her newfound miseries.
