Since the first day, the upcoming thriller movie ‘Mayday’ has been creating a lot of buzz for its stellar cast.
Alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Angira Dhar have also come on board for this edge-of-the-seat human-drama.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Ajay, who will be essaying a pilot’s role, has found his on-screen wife for ‘Mayday’. Yes, you heard it right!
Television actress Aakanksha Singh, who made her film debut with ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, will be essaying the role of Ajay’s onscreen wife. The actress has joined the team yesterday for the shoot.
Talking about being a part of this movie, Aakanksha shares, “It’s like a dream come true to be a part of such a big and much-awaited film. I am so excited to share the screen with Ajay sir and Amitabh sir and the icing on the cake is Ajay sir is directing the film. It’s actually happening! It’s an important role and I am lucky that the first muhurat shot of the film had me in it.”
Filming of this Ajay Devgn directorial started today in Hyderabad. Sharing the news, Ajay took to Twitter and wrote, “Happy to officially begin MayDay in a start-to-finish shooting schedule. Seek blessings from the Almighty and my parents. Nothing is complete without the support of all my fans, family, and well-wishers. Releases on 29th April 2022.”
This movie is inspired by a 2015 incident that has been further dramatized for the screen.
Being produced by ‘Ajay Devgn Ffilms’, ‘Mayday’ is set to release in theatres on 29th April 2022.
