Be it common folk or celebrity, looks like the Mumbai Police ain’t messing around when it comes to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Retired Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, singer Guru Randhawa and Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan were recently arrested in a raid!
As per India Today report, 34 people were arrested in a raid at the Mumbai Dragonfly club near the Mumbai airport, including these celebrities and staff members. A case was registered for allegedly keeping the nightclub open beyond the permissible time limit and for not following Covid-19 norms, such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing!
Mumbai Police booked the accused under Section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (whoever unlawfully or negligently does any act which is, and which he knows or has reason to believe to be, likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC and provisions of NMDA.
Since the sections were bailable, all accused were released on bail later.
