Another remake in Bollywood. Seems like Hindi remake movies have become a trend.
Now, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja will be seen playing the lead in the Hindi remake of a popular South Korean movie.
Sonam, who was last seen with Dulquer Salman in ‘The Zoya Factor’, has kickstarted the shoot of her upcoming movie ‘Blind’ in Scotland.
The ‘Neerja’ actress will be seen essaying the role of a blind ex-cop in this crime thriller, which is a remake of a 2011 South Korean movie of the same name. ‘Blind’ is slated to release in 2021.
Sujoy Ghosh’s associate director, Shome Makhija, is making his directorial debut with this movie, which also features Vinay Pathak, Purab Kohli, and Lillete Dubey in important roles.
The plot revolves around a woman who loses her sight after a car accident, only to find her other senses develop, allowing her to help the police in an ongoing investigation.
Following the Covid-19 guidelines, ‘Blind’ will shoot in a start-to-finish schedule in Glasgow. This movie is being co-produced by Sujoy Ghosh, Avishek Ghosh, Manisha W, Pinkesh Nahar, Sachin Nahar, and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim.
On the work front, Sonam did a cameo in Netflix’s latest release ‘AK vs AK’, starring Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap.
