Vikrant Massey and Tanya Maniktala to share screen space with Vijay Sethupathi in Santosh Sivan’s ‘Maanagaram’ Hindi remake

Vikrant Massey is all set to headline in Santosh Sivan’s Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil hit ‘Maanagaram‘.

Vikrant Massey will share screen space with Vijay Sethupathi and Tanya Maniktala. The film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Sachin Khedekar, Ranvir Shorey, and others.

Vikrant took to social media to announce the title launch of the film will take place on New Year, January 1, 2021. In this untitled film, Vikrant Massey will essay the role of a small-town guy who comes to the city to attend an interview for a job in a BPO, played by Sriram in the original.

The Hindi remake of Maanagaram will be set in Mumbai unlike the original that focused on Chennai. The original movie starred Sriram Natarajan, Sundeep Kishan, and Regina Cassandra in the lead. 

The film is produced by  Shibu Thameens, under his home banner Thameens Films. The film is written by  Amit Joshi and Aradhana Debnath. Sivan who’s lately been making films in the regional languages will be returning to Hindi film direction after 12 years with this yet-untitled film.
