Storyline

The film ‘Forever Maybe’ starts off with a young woman (Kalpika Ganesh) reminiscing on her past relationship on the day of her anniversary. She then gets a message from a young man (Naresh Agastya) requesting her to meet at her home. Fast forward to the next day, the pair meet and have a gala time. Amidst all their fun, there is a slight bit of flirting and cheeky looks had been exchanged between the two.

The pair spend the night together and look completely in awe of each other. However, an unexpected twist happens the next day and that delivers a shocking environment to viewers.

A Brilliantly Written Piece

As the short film commences, the vibe given off of it is somewhat that of a sorrow story. Eventually, the happy build-up is commendable and the story only makes it more interesting. The actors have done a phenomenal job in switching the pace of the film. From being strangers to coming as close as possible, it’s an intense rollercoaster of feelings and the unsaid exchange of words were longing to be lashed out.

The ending is not only unexpected but it gives you the feeling of a cliffhanger without it actually being one. Or in other words, it leaves you longing for a more complete happy ending. The characters portray the perfect amount of love in every scene. All the feelings depicted make perfect sense at the end after the real meaning of the two lovers’ meeting is explained.

Hit or Miss?

Definitely a HIT. A short story that has romance, heart break and two extremely good looking leads? Yes, please.
