The new Richa Chadha starrer ‘Madam Chief Minister’ released its trailer yesterday, the 6th of January, 2021.
The movie is directed by Subhash Kapoor and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Naren Kumar and Dimple Kharbanda.
The film is a political drama and Richa Chadha is the centre of attention as she fights for her people. Breaking the stereotypes of the caste system and patriarchy, Chadha’s character takes on challenges as she rises to power. The film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Manav Kaul and Akshaye Oberoi.
The film is seeing its release on the 22nd of January, 2021. Chadha also shared her first look on Instagram and captioned it, “A film I really believe in… a political drama about an ‘untouchable’ who rises to the top! Out in cinemas on 22nd January! Stay tuned!”
As reported by Mumbai Mirror, Richa spoke about her role saying, “This is such an incredible story of an unlikely leader who defies all norms, all societal expectations to become a chief minister like no other. I’m extremely grateful I got entrusted with such a layered character. As actors, such amazing scripts are hard to come by. I have learnt a lot about Indian society and politics via this film. I sincerely hope the audience enjoys it as much as we have.”
