Akshay Kumar & Paresh Rawal make a good on-screen jodi, isn’t it?
Now, it seems like that the hit duo is all set to be back together on-screen.
Well, according to a Pinkvilla report, Akshay Kumar & Paresh Rawal will reunite for the sequel of 2012’s hit social comedy ‘Oh My God’. Yes, you heard this right!
This much-awaited sequel will supposedly go on floors by the end of April this year.
‘Oh My God 2’ will reportedly be produced by Akshay himself, along with Ashwin Varde.
“Akshay, Paresh, Ashwin, and the entire gang have been keen to make Oh My God 2 for the longest time and have been brainstorming on different ideas to come up with a story that’s better than the first part. And after several years of research and brainstorming, they have finally locked a script that does justice to the legacy of the first part,” a source revealed to the portal.
Akshay will apparently play god even in the sequel and has allotted his shooting dates in the summer holidays, the source added, saying, “It’s a fresh story, with a fresh outlook at the things around us.”
If reports are to be believed, Akshay himself has been involved in developing the script of OMG 2 for the last six months.
“Even as he was shooting for Atrangi Re, he was in constant touch with Ashwin over the script of Oh My God, and in-fact the two even met on the set in Delhi to discuss the pre-production process, other members of the cast, and the way forward. The script is locked, and the film is ready to go on the floors as early as summer 2021,” the source added.
While there is no update regarding the director, Umesh Shukla, who helmed the first part, will not reportedly be directing the sequel.
