Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are soaring high for the release of Gangubai Kathiawadi and Alia have already completed her shooting for the same.
Now, reports suggest that Alia Bhatt has to film 2 dance numbers before wrapping the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.
The shooting of the dance numbers will take place around mid-February.
A source says “Alia has been given a fortnight’s break; she is utilizing the time to rehearse for the two tracks. One of them is a typical Bhansali number, envisioned on a lavish scale, complete with 200 background dancers. The unit had filmed a song last year before the lockdown was imposed. On resuming work in October, Sanjay sir decided to finish the sequences before he could turn his attention to the song-and-dance routines.”
Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on a brothel madam from the red light area, Kamathipura in Mumbai. Gangubai is believed to have been pushed into prostitution at a very young age and became the most influential pimp, having served several renowned criminals from the city. Directed and co-produced by Sanjay, the film reportedly features Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi in important roles.
