‘RRR’ To BREAK Baahubali’s Record, Theatrical Rights To Be Sold AT THIS WHOPPING PRICE?

SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated period drama ‘RRR’ has already created history before release.

The magnum opus is scheduled to hit the screens this year on October 13, and tempting offers have been rolling in to bag the project’s theatrical rights!

As reported by Pinkvilla, this Jr. NTR and Ram Charan movie is even beating the pre-release business of Baahubali 2!

A trade source revealed, “The RRR team has received offers from Independent distributors from different territories of Southern states which amounts to Rs 348 crore. It’s going to be the biggest deal in the history of Telugu cinema, defeating the pre-release business of Bahubali 2, which had collected approximately Rs 215 crore from the South speaking states.”

348 crores offer for RRR’s theatrical rights?

The Rs 348 crore offer is for the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam version while the Hindi version’s (to be released on commission basis by AA films) rights have reportedly been valued at Rs 100 crore.

With overseas rights sold for Rs 70 crore, the producers estimate revenue of Rs 500 crore just from the sale of worldwide theatrical rights! Along with Ram Charan (as Alluri Sitarama Raju) and Jr NTR (Komaram Bheem), Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn will also be seen in pivotal roles in the movie.
