On the occasion of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 58th birthday, Gangubai Kathiawadi’s release date and teaser have been unveiled.
The movie stars Alia Bhatt in the titular role as the Mafia Queen Gangubai Kothewali.
The movie will be hitting the theatres on 30th July 2021. An intriguing teaser was dropped today – showing Alia Bhatt transform from the young Ganga to the fierce Gangubai.

The trailer description reads – “Gangubai Kathiawadi – A story, based on the book “ Mafia Queens of Mumbai” written by S. Hussain Zaidi, is a film that celebrates the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. The narrative walks through the life of young Ganga who in no time marks her own territory and becomes Gangubai – The Matriarch of Kamathipura.”
Gangubai Kathiawadi will be having a big clash with Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ movie at the theatres.
