Deepika Padukone started shooting for ‘Pathan‘ in November 2020 and will be seen playing the role of an agent.
Pinkvilla has recently reported an update of Deepika’s look and character sketch from this action-thriller.
A source says “It’s the character of a suave agent, who goes on a mission alongside Shah Rukh Khan, and after contemplating on multiple looks, they finally zeroed in to the boy cut (short hair) avatar for DP. She has already shot a considerable chunk in the film, and is expected to join the gang of Pathan again from mid of March.”
“It was a massive setup to film her introductory scene at YRF studios. The audience is on to see DP like never before in Pathan,” the source added.
Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan are already busy shooting for Pathan and Deepika too is expected to have a scene or two with the two Khan’s. John Abraham is also a part of the film and will be playing an antagonist.
Deepika Padukone is taking a lot of training in different forms of action to pull the stunts off with conviction. Following the on-going schedule in Mumbai, team Pathan is expected to fly abroad for another schedule. They have also shot against the green screen set up with VFX plates brought in from UAE, Turkey, and several other countries.
“It’s going to be a big-screen visual spectacle with action and thrill on a different level. The three leads – SRK, DP and John – as also Salman, who has an extended cameo, have action in plenty to offer in the film,” the source concluded.
The film is expected to be wrapped up around the month of June/July and the theatrical release is scheduled in the month of January 2022.
