While the Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Saina’ is ruling at the theatres, Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Toofaan’ will soon be bringing major buzz on the OTT.
After a movie on the badminton champ Saina Nehwal, looks like it’s time to focus Bollywood’s spotlight on the world of tennis. If the latest reports are to be believed, then a sports biopic on the ace tennis player Sania Mirza is in the works.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Ronnie Screwvala has bought the rights.
“The makers wanted a younger actress to play Sania and after Parineeti Chopra playing Saina, they didn’t want her to do it. They took the film to Taapsee Pannu who has liked the script.”
The modalities are currently being worked out. We hope Taapsee officially comes on board. She is prepping for her sports film Shabaash Mithu on Mithali Raj’s life. Her film line up also includes – Do Baaraa, Rashmi Rocket, Haseen Dillruba.
