One of Bollywood’s most iconic couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, tied the knot on the 20th of April, 2007.
The handsome couple celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary today and also have a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan.
Not too long post their big day, Aishwarya and Abhishek made an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, one of the most reputed and famous celebrity talk shows there is. In conversation with host Oprah, Abhishek was asked how he proposed to the former Miss World – Aishwarya.
“I was filming in New York for a movie and I used to stand on the balcony of my hotel room and wish that one day, it would be nice if I was together with her, married. So, I took her to the very same balcony and asked her to marry me,” he cheekily admitted.
Rai, remembering the sweet memory also added, “It was very sweet. It was very real at the same time.”
The stunning pair have worked together in several Bollywood films like ‘Dhai Akshar Prem Ke’ in 2000, ‘Kuch Naa Kaho’ in 2003, ‘Umrao Jaan’ in 2006, ‘Dhoom 2’ in 2006, ‘Guru’ in 2007 and ‘Raavan’ in 2010.
