Birthday girl Anushka Sharma made her Bollywood debut in the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
She established her Production house Clean Slate Productions in 2013 with her brother Karnesh Sharma, making her the youngest actress turned producer.

Yes, we know Anushka was the lead role for this film but did you know that she had initially rejected it? Director Rajkumar Hirani had approached Sharma for the role but the two had creative differences. Nevertheless, the pair sorted it out over time and Anushka was finally cast in the film which we so love.
2. Baar Baar Dekho
As per THIS report, Farhan Akhtar had apparently offered Anushka a role in the film Baar Baar Dekho after Dil Dhadakne Do (where they acted together). Unfortunately, Sharma refused to be a part of this movie for unsaid reasons. Then as we know, the role went to actress Katrina Kaif who did a stellar job in the movie.
3. Ki & Ka
When director R. Balki wrote the script, apparently it was Kareena Kapoor Khan who he had in mind. Despite Kareena herself being his first choice, Balki approached Anushka Sharma thinking Kareena would not accept the role. But when Sharma rejected the film, Balki had no other option to approach Kareena who ended up accepting and doing the film with him.
