Did you know Palash Sen, the frontman of the Indian rock band Euphoria, is also a doctor?
The singer-composer, who has judged a couple of singing reality shows, had studied medicine.
Today, on the special occasion of Mother’s Day, Palash Sen did a candid live session with Siddharth Kannan on InstantBollywood‘s Instagram page. When the host Siddharth asked the singer if he has any regret, Palash shared his only regret, which is connected to actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Palash Sen’s only regret is that he has never worked with Aishwarya. Yes, you heard this right! “I’ve only one regret. Yaar, I’ve done music videos, movies, but I never did anything with Aishwarya Rai yet. That’s something that always in mind. I wish I do something with her,” he replied.
Sharing one incident, the 55-year-old singer revealed, “Many years ago, we were playing at the Filmfare Awards and rehearsals were going on in the scorching heat. I still remember that Aishwarya was there on stage and she was rehearsing for the song “Dola Re Dola”. The heat was terrible and that girl… She was on stage and she was rehearsing nonstop for hours and hours.”
He further continued, adding, “I saw that, and I saw her dedication, I saw her beauty, and I saw her talent. And, I thought this is whom, I’d like to work with, in my life. It’s been so many years, abhi tak toh huya nahi hain, shayad kisi din ho jaaye.”
Palash Sen also believes that the “music industry should have a separate industry completely”.
“A singer or a performer, because he is singing for films or labels or somebody (director or producer), what they basically do is they will use you until that you’re of no use…. They make it like that. They have the control to erase or replace somebody, which is why independent music is so important. In our country, there is a film industry, and music is a part of it. Actually, the music industry should have a separate industry, and the film industry should go there and take talent out of there,” the singer-musician said.
