Yes, after ‘Luka Chuppi’, Kartik Aaryan & Kriti Sanon are reportedly teaming up again.
This time it’s for the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster– ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’.
As Pinkvilla reported earlier, Kartik & Kriti will step into the shoes of Allu Arjun & Pooja Hegde for this Rohit Dhawan directorial.
It is said that the Hindi remake of the hit action drama ‘ALVP’ will be produced by Ekta Kapoor, Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and S Radha Krishna.
Now, we hear that the makers have finally found the title of this remake. If this media report is to be believed, the Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon starrer has reportedly been titled ‘Shehzada’.
Reportedly, Ekta is said to have named the film after the Rajesh Khanna and Raakhee starrer 1972 Bollywood drama, that was set during the British Raj.
According to the Peeping Moon report, Paresh Rawal has supposedly been roped in to play the character of Kartik’s father, which was essayed by Jayaram in the original. Actress Manisha Koirala is also reportedly in talks for Tabu’s role (Kartik’s mother) in the film.
Meanwhile, director Rohit & his writers’ team have apparently made slight changes in the screenplay to avoid criticism.
“Rohit Dhawan and his team of writers have adapted ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ keeping in mind the criticism the film received for its predictable storyline and narrative, and have tried to make it better with a strong screenplay and a great musical score,” a source revealed to the portal.
Recently, Kartik has shared a video of him grooving to Allu Arjun’s song ‘Butta Bomma’ from the movie ‘ALVP’ on his Instagram.
