After the smashing hit of ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid Kapoor has become every filmmaker’s favorite.
The actor is now set to make his OTT debut with Raj & DK’s upcoming Amazon Prime series.
While his upcoming movie ‘Jersey’ is slated to hit theatres on November 5, 2021, we hear that Shahid is apparently in talks for multiple films. Now, he has reportedly been approached for an action-thriller flick.
If this Bollywood Hungama report is believed to be true, producer-director Nikkhil Advani has apparently discussed the project over a virtual meeting and Shahid is said to have liked the script.
“Not much is known about the film yet but it is an action thriller that Nikkhil has been planning for over a year now. He wanted an A-list actor from the younger generation to play the lead. He approached Shahid for the same and they have discussed the whole project virtually over a meeting since Shahid is not in town. Shahid has liked the whole idea and the script and now, the team is trying to work out the modalities, before finalizing it,” a source informed the portal.
However, the Bollywood Hungama report suggests that Nikkhil had earlier offered ‘Bell Bottom’ to Shahid Kapoor. Despite liking the script, he had to turn down the offer due to date issues. The film was originally supposed to be helmed by the filmmaker along with Ranjit Tiwari before Jackky Bhagnani & Ranjit decided to co-produce the film, starring Akshay Kumar.
