Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98, leaving the film fraternity in mourning.
After suffering from a prolonged illness, he breathed his last on Wednesday morning (7 July 2021). May his soul rest in peace!
The late actor is survived by his actress wife Saira Banu. The couple doesn’t have any children. Widely known as the ‘Tragedy King’ of Bollywood, Dilip Kumar (born as Mohammed Yusuf Khan) has iconic films like ‘Devdas’, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Daag’, ‘Ram Aur Shyam’ in his repertoire.
Did you know the veteran actor was also popularly known as the ‘First Khan of Bollywood’? That’s right. The prolific actor holds the record for the MOST number of Filmfare awards in Best Actor category – he won it 8 TIMES. (This record was later shared by Shah Rukh Khan)
