Ajay Devgn’s next – ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ is headed straight for an OTT release; 13th August 2021 on Disney + Hotstar.
Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the war drama also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Ammy Virk in prominent roles.
What Is The Movie Based On?
The patriotic actioner film is based on the true events of the 1971 Indo-Pak war when Pakistan attacked Bhuj airbase under Operation Chengiz Khan. The Bhuj airfield was raided 35 times in 14 days!
Ajay Devgn has essayed the role of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj airport. He helped reconstruct the IAF airbase with the help of 300 local village women.
Sanjay Dutt can be seen as Army Scout Ranchordas Pagi, Sonakshi Sinha as social worker Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, Ammy Virk as Flight Officer Vikram Singh Baj Jethaaz, while Nora Fatehi plays Indian spy Heena Rehman.
