Shilpa Shetty’s businessman husband Raj Kundra has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a case over pornographic films!
The Mumbai Police Commissioner told the media – “There was a case registered with the Crime Branch Mumbai in Feb 2021 about creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidences regarding this.”
As per TOI, Raj has been booked under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) along with sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
TOI report further mentioned that this pornography case was being probed for some time after arrest of model-actor Gehana Vasisth and Raj Kundra’s ex-employee Umesh Kamat. Kamat, a representative of a UK-based production house ‘Kenrin’, was arrested after being accused of uploading at least 7-8 obscene videos shot by Gehana. These videos were allegedly put on UK apps like Eightshots, Nuefliks and HotHit, as per Free Press Journal.
Meanwhile, Raj Kundra has denied any wrongdoing and sought anticipatory bail. He will be presented before the 37th Esplanade metropolitan magistrate’s court today.
