Akshay Kumar truly is a Khiladi – both onscreen and off-screen.
The Laxmii actor has made a generous donation now to help out artistes who’re struggling to make ends meet due to Covid-19.
As per Midday report, Akshay contributed Rs 50 LAKHS towards the Sanskar Bharti campaign ‘Peer Parai Jaane Re’! He also urged other people to come forward to provide aid.
“The corona epidemic has created financial problems in front of the artists, and they don’t have work from the last 2 years. The artist always stands for the country when needed, and I believe in this crucial time our people will come forward and stand with the artists,” Akshay said.
Earlier this year, Akshay had pledged Rs 1 crore to cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s Delhi-based NGO to help provide food, meds and oxygen. He and his wife Twinkle Khanna had also helped provide oxygen concentrators to battle Covid-19 2nd wave. Last year, he had donated Rs 25 crores to PM Cares Fund.
On the work front, he will next be seen in Bell Bottom. He also has Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Rakshabandhan and Ram Setu lined up ahead of him.
