It is reported that Divya Dutta has replaced Madhuri Dixit in a movie which she has signed almost a year ago.
Madhuri Dixit was to play the lead in Tahira Kashyap‘s upcoming movie but was replaced at the last moment.
Movie titled ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’ was supposed to see Madhuri in the lead role but Tahira and Madhuri decided to part ways mutually due to creative differences.
As per reports, “The script has evolved significantly in the last year and Divya Dutta was brought in by the makers to play the part originally offered to Madhuri.”
The movie is based on modern Indian experience of middle-class women that offers a peak into the life of women, all with a common surname, ‘Sharma‘.
‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’ is Tahira’s debut film and she says that all the characters in the movie are a reflection of her own personality and are inspired by her experiences.
The shooting of the movie has already began last month in Mumbai and Chandigarh.
