Fans can’t wait to watch Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited movie ‘Maidaan’ on the silver screen.
Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the biographical sports drama is based on the life events of the Indian Football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
‘Maidaan’, which is produced by Boney Kapoor & Zee Studios, highlights the golden years of Indian football. Under Rahim’s leadership, the Indian football team had won Gold medals in the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962.
And now, after facing a lot of roadblocks, ‘Maidaan’ is all set to hit theatres on June 3, 2022. Sharing the news, Ajay took to social media and wrote, “Maidaan, A story that will resonate with every Indian, a film that I feel very strongly about. Mark the date on your calendar. Releasing worldwide on 3rd June 2022.”
The movie also features Gajraj Rao, Priyamani, and the Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh in pivotal roles.
Back in May this year, the entire set of a football stadium was destroyed by the cyclone Tauktae.
