From Mulk, Article 15 to Thappad – director Anubhav Sinha is known to make impactful, hard-hitting, socially relevant films.
Sinha has allegedly roped in the powerhouse performer Rajkummar Rao for his next film.
As per Peeping Moon report, this upcoming, yet-untitled Anubhav Sinha directorial will be a social drama tackling an untouched issue.
“Rajkummar Rao loved what Anubhav Sinha narrated to him, and immediately came on board. The director is again exploring a hard-hitting subject on a very relevant subject that often gets ignored. It has a great script filled with triggering pertinent dialogues, and Rao can’t wait to get into the skin of this fascinating character he is playing in this social saga,” a source told the portal.
This Rajkummar-Anubhav Sinha collab will kickstart shooting from November in Lucknow allegedly. Sinha is currently busy with the action-thriller Anek, set in North-East India and starring Ayushmann Khurrana.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar has the Netflix thriller film Monica, O My Darling and the remake of the Telugu cop drama HIT. He will also be seen in Hum Do Humare Do with Kriti Sanon and Badhaai Do with Bhumi Pednekar. As per previous buzz, Rajkummar has been roped in for Raj & DK’s Netflix series, opposite Diljit Dosanjh.
