Aryan Khan Drugs Case; Has He Been Granted BAIL?

Date:

Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan recently came under the Narcotics Control Bureau’s scanner.

Aryan, along with his friends Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, and 5 others, had been arrested after an alleged rave party was busted on the Cordelia cruise.

They were booked under sections 8 (c), 20 (b), 27, and 35 of the NDPS Act. Aryan had reportedly denied purchasing drugs.

As per NDTV, the latest update in the case – Aryan has been denied bail today and his custody under NCB has been extended till October 7 (Thursday). The same goes for Arbaaz and Munmun.

Satish Maneshinde, on Aryan’s behalf had argued that Aryan was a ‘special invitee’ to the cruise ship and couldn’t be blamed for the entire seizure in the case. (The raids overall seized around 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD).

“In my entire stay aboard I was not involved in any drug usage. One of the grounds for asking my custody is seizure of commercial quantity from other accused. Commercial quantity seized from other accused cannot be foisted on me. They are talking about international drug trafficking which is a very serious charge and has to be backed by evidence,” said Aryan Khan’s statement via Maneshinde.
