Salman Khan & filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali make a hit actor-director Jodi, isn’t it?
The duo had previously worked together in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ (1999) & ‘Khamoshi: The Musical’ (1996).
Meanwhile, Salman was supposed to reunite with SLB after 21 years for ‘Inshallah’, which also starred Alia Bhatt as the female lead. However, the movie eventually got shelved due to unknown reasons even before it could go on floors.
Now, if this Pinkvilla report is believed to be true, the actor-director duo is all set to work together for yet another project. As the report suggests, SLB is said to feature in the docu-series titled ‘Beyond The Star’, which is based on the life of Salman Khan.
“They zeroed in on a list and started approaching the directors, producers, actors with some receiving a request from Salman himself. Bhansali was one of those and the filmmaker immediately agreed to be a part of this docu-series. He has already shot for his portions and shared his personal stories of friendship and affection with Salman,” a source revealed to the portal.
“They are not planning to collaborate on a feature film anytime soon, but they keep interacting on and off over the call-in times of need. There is no bad blood despite Inshallah being abruptly put on hold,” the source added.
Reportedly, besides SLB, 30 more key members of the film industry are likely to be part of this docu-series that is slated to be released on an OTT giant.
Bankrolled by Salman’s SKF Films with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment, the docu-series will apparently chronicle the actor’s journey to super-stardom, personal relationships, equations with co-stars, colleagues, and more.
