Shah Rukh Khan – the ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood – is every actor’s dream co-star to work with.
This may come as a shock to know that there have been times when popular actresses turned down roles opposite King Khan. Take a look:
1. Samantha Ruth Prabhu
SRK, as we all know, is doing a pan-India movie with Nayanthara. Directed by Atlee, the movie has been tentatively titled ‘Lion’. Reportedly, ‘The Family Man 2’ series fame Samantha was the first choice for the role of the female lead. As per a media report, Samantha turned down the offer because she was allegedly planning to have a baby with her husband (now ex) Naga Chaitanya.
2. Karisma Kapoor
Even though Karisma Kapoor has starred in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, she has supposedly turned down two SRK starrer movies. Reportedly, Karisma had rejected Tina’s role (played by Rani Mukerji) in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and Kuarwaki’s role (played by her sister Kareena Kapoor Khan) due to some yet-to-be-known reasons.
