Lionsgate Play is coming up with its first Indian original series titled ‘Hiccups & Hookups’.
Directed by Kunal Kohli, the family dramedy features Prateik Babbar, Lara Dutta, and Shinnova in key roles.
In the show, Lara & Prateik will be seen as the ‘Rao’ siblings. And Shinnova plays the character of Lara’s teenage daughter.
‘Hiccups & Hookups’ is the Indian remake of the American comedy-drama series ‘Casual’.
Last week, actor Rajkummar Rao gave a sneak peek inside the no-filter Rao family. He mentions Vasudha (played by Lara) as a ‘modern Stree’ who is confused about her dating options, whereas Akhil (played by Prateik) is someone who calls himself the ‘Newton of Relationships’ as he believes that he understands the science of relationship inside out. Shinnova’s character has been introduced as someone who considers herself the ‘Queen of Relationships’.
The modern-family show apparently revolves around the story of a single mother (Lara Dutta), who recently got separated from her cheating husband, and her brother Akhil (Prateik Babbar), who tries to find her someone online.
Hiccups & Hookups Release Date:
The show is all set to stream on Lionsgate Play from November 26, 2021.
