Popular filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan is said to be making the desi version of the popular Spanish heist crime-drama series ‘Money Heist’ (Lacasa De Papel).
As per the latest buzz, they are making it in the format of a feature film, which is reportedly been titled ‘Three Monkeys’.
Reportedly, Abbas-Mustan have given the project a desi twist and the movie is expected to be released in the second half of 2022.
Now, if this Pinkvilla report is to be believed, Arjun Rampal has apparently been roped in to play Professor‘s role. As the report further suggests, ‘Machine’ actor Mustafa Burmawalla (Abbas’s son) will apparently be essaying the role of one of the three robbers.
“Arjun Rampal’s character is on the lines of professor from Money Heist, whereas Mustafa along with two other actors will be playing the robbers. All the three robbers, alongside the professor, will have a unique dimension, with all working together for a hidden motive of personal gains. Abbas Mustan have been a master at adapting international thrillers and in the same way, they have brought in their own flavor to the narrative of Three Monkeys,” a source revealed to the portal.
While there is no official confirmation yet, ‘Three Monkeys’ is expected to go on floors this month only.
On the work front, Arjun Rampal has movies like ‘The Rapist’, ‘Penthouse’, ‘Dhaakad’ & more lined up in his kitty.
