Back in 2005, Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji had taken us all on a hella entertaining, madcap journey in Bunty Aur Babli.
However, Bunty Aur Babli 2 pairs Saif Ali Khan with Rani. Siddhant Chaturvedi and debutante Sharvari Wagh will be adding the extra zing as the new con artists this time.
Many were left wondering why Abhishek didn’t resume his role in this iconic sequel. And if the latest Bollywood Hungama is to be believed then the reason why Junior Bachchan allegedly refused the 2nd flick is his fall-out with Aditya Chopra over Dhoom 3.
A source told the portal, “The script for Dhoom 3 was being constantly changed in Aamir Khan’s favour. Abhishek’s protests to producer Aditya Chopra and director Vijay Krishna Acharya fell on deaf ears. The last straw was the climax. When Abhishek arrived at the location for the shooting he was told that the entire climax had been changed without his knowledge. This is when Abhishek put his foot down. He told Adi that he would not work in the Dhoom franchise again.”
The source further continued that a cold war had begun brewing between Aditya and Abhishek after Dhoom 3 and hence when he was offered Bunty Aur Babli 2, Abhishek rejected it!
