Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992 series starring Pratik Gandhi won rave reviews after its release with the actor giving a breakthrough performance.
Fans are immensely curious as to what the talented director’s next project will be. As per recent reports, it is being said that he’s directing a web series called PIRATES.
This thriller show is being made for the Disney+Hotstar platform. Hansal Mehta is teaming up with son Jai Mehta for this project on Somalian pirates.
“Pirates is a fictional gritty thriller drama series inspired by true events. It’s a story of a large, commercial Indian ship that gets hijacked off the coast of Somalia. What happens to the crew aboard a pirated ship and how they navigate through unimaginable, horrific circumstances form the crux of the story. Produced by Shaailesh R Singh’s Karma Media And Entertainment, the show, in large, highlights the issue of maritime piracy and its impact on many Indian families. It’s a world never seen before in Indian cinema,” a source told Peeping Moon.
Pirates Star Cast:
Vivek Gomber, Deepak Tijori, Rajat Kapoor, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Gaurav Paswala.
Currently being shot in Cape Town, it will also have filming schedules in Ukraine and Delhi. Pirates will premiere in mid-2022 allegedly.
