Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor made his big debut in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial ‘Saawariya‘ in 2007.
But his experience working with the director is far from what we think it is!
Talking about SLB, Ranbir described why the former is such a great director. He said in an interview, “Not saying that my generation of filmmakers are only running behind the commercial aspect… When I assisted Mr (Sanjay Leela) Bhansali (on Black), he used to really treat me as an assistant director. I used to be kneeling down for hours, he used to hit us, he used to abuse us… that only hardens you and prepares you for the world.”
Talk about professionalism! Bhansali has directed some of Bollywood’s biggest hits like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Raam Leela and more.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is going to be seen next on the big screen in Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt. The film is reportedly set for a theatre release on September 9, 2022.
