While we’ve seen some of the happiest Bollywood marriages happen in 2021, there have also been a couple of splits, leaving fans heartbroken.

1. Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao
This is probably the biggest shock of 2021! Aamir Khan and his now ex-wife Kiran Rao announced their divorce 6 months ago after 15 long years of togetherness.
A joint statement by both the parties reads, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other. We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalise this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together. We will also continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation, and other projects that we feel passionate about.”

2. Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Naga Chaitanya
Speculations about their divorce began doing rounds when Samantha dropped her surname ‘Akkineni’ from all of her social media handles and switched it to her maiden name- Prabhu.
Both Samantha & Naga confirmed their divorce 4 years of marriage in early October (2021) and issued statements on their media handles. The two of them requested the fans and media to give them privacy.

3. Sushmita Sen-Rohman Shawl
Sushmita and Rohman, who have an age gap of 16 years between them, made their relationship public in 2018. However, less than two weeks ago, Sushmita posted an official statement on her Instagram confirming their break-up. Apparently, Rohman has now moved out of the home that they shared and is residing at a friend’s place.
