The Boycott trend has again been revived ….. This time against Akshay Kumar’s period drama ‘Prithviraj’.
Rajasthani Gurjar community protested against the movie and said it will be banned in the state unless the makers stop using the term ‘Rajput’ to refer to Prithviraj Chauhan.
As per reports, people from the community had flocked to the Devnarayan temple in protest and claimed that Prithviraj was a member of the Gurjar group and should be represented as a Gurjar king instead of a Rajput.
The Gurjar organization also demanded that a screening be held for their representatives and historians before the film arrives in theatres!

Talking about the movie, Prithviraj is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and marks the Bollywood debut of Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar. Apart from Akshay, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood also star in the film.

In theatres on 21st January 2022.
