It’s raining biopics in Bollywood…
Just in the morning, Anushka Sharma was announced to be doing Jhulan Goswami’s biopic. Rajkummar Rao is the latest celeb to join the biopic bandwagon.
Rao is headlining the biopic on the visually challenged yet inspiring industrialist Srikanth Bolla – the founder of Bollant Industries.
Who Is Srikanth Bolla?
He was the 1st international blind student in Brain and Cognitive Science and Business at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)!
From being born blind into a farming family, denied the IIT dream to making a place for himself at MIT and acing a multi-crore business, Srikanth’s story is legendary. His entrepreneurial dream found backing from Ratan Tata who helped Bollant Industries (which manufactures packaging solutions) grow into a big success.
The biopic is tentatively titled ‘Srikanth Bolla’ and will be directed by Tushar Hiranandani (of Saand Ki Aankh fame). It’s being produced by T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Films Production. The filming will commence from July 2022.
