SS Rajamouli‘s highly-anticipated movie – ‘RRR’ – stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles.
The period action drama was previously scheduled to hit theatres on January 7, 2022, but got postponed yet again amid the rising Covid-19 cases.
On Friday (January 21), the makers of Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus have posted an update on RRR’s release along with a new poster featuring Jr NTR & Ram Charan. They have opted for a unique release strategy.
The makers have blocked two dates for RRR’s theatre release. Yes, the multi-lingual movie will either release on March 18, 2022, or on Eid, i.e April 28, 2022!

Set in the 1920s, ‘RRR’ is a fictitious story based on the legendary freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju (played by Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (played by Jr NTR). Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn are apparently playing cameo roles in this film.
‘RRR’ will release in 4 languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Box Office Clashes:
If ‘RRR’ releases on March 18, 2022, the movie will clash with Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and Ranbir Kapoor‘s ‘Shamshera’ at the box office.
On the other hand, if the film is to release on Eid, it will clash with another Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Runway 34’ and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Heropanti 2’.
