Starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana in the lead, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has been released in theatres on December 17, 2021.
Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa: The Rise Part 1’ is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of 2021.
From his cool dance moves in Srivalli and Oo Antava to the iconic beard rubbing thing… Allu Arjun is riding high on success after receiving rave reviews for his performance in ‘Pushpa’.
However, did you guys know Allu Arjun was NOT the first choice for the titular role? If this report is to be believed, the director had initially approached popular south-Indian actor Mahesh Babu but he rejected it despite liking the script.
As the report further suggests, Mahesh Babu was reportedly not interested in playing a character with negative shades.
“However Mahesh Babu has made a career vow to not play anti-social characters. He loved the script of Pushpa. But he didn’t think he was the right fit for the role as he didn’t believe in playing anti-social characters.”
