Recently, rumours of Munmun Dutta’s arrest in the casteist slur case were doing rounds.
However, the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress has issued a clarification on the whole matter.
What Was Munmun Dutta Casteist Remark Controversy?
The actress had faced the netizens’ wrath after using the word ‘bh*ngi’ while doing her vlog video. She had apologised, claiming she didn’t know the meaning of the word and cited ‘language barrier’ as the issue!
Munmun Dutta Not Arrested!
Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Munmun cleared the air that she had been interrogated by the police and NOT arrested as other portals were claiming. She also requested the media to not promote false narratives.
“I want to clarify that I went in for a regular interrogation with the police officials. I was NOT ARRESTED. In fact, I had received the interim bail from the Court already on Friday before I went in for the interrogation,” Munmun told Bollywood Bubble.
She also emphasized that she’d been cooperating with the police.
She said – “The officials at Hansi Police Station spoke to me for two and half hours about the case and noted down all important details. They were extremely polite and well behaved.”
