Sara played a dual role as Rinku Sooryavanshi and her mother Manjari Sooryavanshi in the film. The film delved into the mental health aspect as well – Rinku is shown to have symptoms of schizophrenia.
While there have been mixed reactions to Atrangi Re, Sara’s fiery performance and her ‘Chaka Chak’ moves have received much appreciation. Sara too is quite attached to the character and took home a few things from the sets to remember Rinku.

A source told TOI, “She kept the green ‘Chaka Chak’ saree and the OM necklace. She is emotionally attached to all those things and gets teary-eyed whenever she sees them. Whenever she looks down to these elements, they remind her about her lessons learned while shooting, the time spent with her co-actors, and the director Aanand L Rai.”
Talking about her next projects – Sara has Laxman Utekar’s untitled film with Vicky Kaushal and Pawan Kriplani’s ‘Gaslight’ with Vikrant Massey.
