We’ve got some really exciting news (from Lady Whistledown herself) and you Bollywood fans are going to freak out!
The English Netflix series Bridgerton is coming up with its second season and it’s got a hint of Bollywood in it too.
The first season of Bridgerton not only was one of the most-watched shows on the OTT but also featured remodelled instrumental covers of tracks by popular artists such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and more. Now, the second season is going to feature Rihanna, Madonna, Nirvana and… (cue the drumroll)… the title track of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham!
Yep, Karan Johar’s K3G title track of the same name is going to be played in the series and yes, it’ll be the instrumental version.
As per a report, the cover will be used as the musical representation of the Sharma sisters’ (played by Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran) ethnic background on the show. The cover will also be a tribute to the Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar, who breathed her last in February this year. The show is all set to release on the 25th of March 2022.
